Allergen Safe Service for Restaurants and Cafeterias

This course is designed to give servers, managers and chefs the knowledge necessary to identify and reduce the risk factors for allergic reactions.  Understand the Food Allergy Labeling Consumer Protection Act of 2001 and the causes and symptoms of allergic reactions. Prepare a strategy for serving patrons who identify themselves as food allergic.  Learn how to respond to a food allergy reaction, administer medications associated with food allergies and identify ways to avoid allergens during food service.

This non-certification course can be presented as an add-on module to American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED/Epinephrine/Asthma Inhaler Certification Training course(s).

Course time/cost: $1500 including pre-course audit and consultation

Staff training presentation: 2 hours.

This course is designed to give teachers, couselors and staff the knowledge necessary to identify and reduce the risk factors for allergic reactions.  Understand the Food Allergy Labeling Consumer Protection Act of 2001 and the causes and symptoms of allergic reactions. Learn how to store and use medications associated with food allergies and identify ways to avoid allergens at meal and/or snack time for campers and students.  This non-certification course can be presented as an add-on module to American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED/Epinephrine/Asthma Inhaler Certification Training course(s).

Courses are presented customized according to staff size and specific requirements.

Introduction to Managing Food Allergies

This course is designed to give individuals and families diagnosed with food allergies the knowledge necessary to identify and reduce the risk factors for allergic reactions. Understand the Food Allergy Labeling Consumer Protection Act of 2001 and the causes and symptoms of allergic reactions. Learn how to store and use medications associated with food allergies and identify ways to shop and prepare food to avoid allergens.

This non-certification course can be presented as an add-on module to American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED/Epinephrine/Asthma Inhaler Certification Training course(s).

Introduction to Managing Food Allergies Non-certification course. Approximately 3 Hours: $300

Food Allergy Management Consultation available on an hourly basis: $125/hour

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED/Epinephrine/Asthma Inhaler Certification Training course:

Standard First Aid with CPR- Adult, Child & Infant
Designed for those who want to be trained to respond quickly in an emergency for adults, children and infants. Participants will learn CPR for adults, children and infants as well as First Aid skills. CPR certification is valid for one year and First Aid certification is valid for three years. Participants must pass a written and skills test to receive certification.

Approximate Course time: 8.5 hours

Price: $100 per Person  (8 person minimum class size)
